Recall Last week, Former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniels tendered his resignation letter to the PDP national Chairman with the intention of quitting partisan politics but the former governor has come out to say his supporters are mounting pressure on him to lead them to APC. Gbenga Daniels who held a closed door with Dapo Abiodun, the newly elected governor of Ogun state in his Lagos resident seems to be heading to the ruling party APC.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday concerning his supporters he said “Basically, they said I could resign from PDP… they said I must lead them to APC and they also said I could not retire from politics. That is the summary of what I heard,”
Asked if he was ready to join APC, Daniel said, “What else can I say? My people have spoken,” the former governor said.
